garden gloves

we planted a 'real' garden this year! so far, we lost the sweet peas, but after looking into it we think we planted them too late. They did produce a few but not enough to really do anything with.

We have roma, grape, and the larger 'heatwave' tomatoes. We have gypsy sweet, new mexico chile and jalepeno peppers.

we planted garlic and onion bulbs.
rosemary, cilantro, basil, chives (they are struggling) oregano (hasn't sprouted too much yet).
also, yellow and green squash, cucumbers and we seem to have some baby watermelons trying to come back from last year 'tester' garden.

We started this as a fun family thing... the kids were thrilled for a whole 5 seconds. But Kevin and I check it pretty daily. It is about as fun as watching paint dry, but i guess it doesn't take much to thrill us!

Here are some pics. We have three peppers almost ready and one of the roma tomatoes is turning red!
