all better

Aislyn was given a Kit Kittridge american girl doll about a month ago. It was a second hand doll that belonged to my teaching assistant's now 15 year old daughter who no longer wanted it. The doll was very well loved, but still in great condition. My assistant told me that the limbs were a little loose on the doll, and sure enough, after just a few weeks she had been picked up by the arm one too many times. The arm came off. Luckily, American Girl has a 'doll hospital'. Not the cheapest thing ever, but hey, it was a free doll. So off she went -so that all four limbs could be reattatched tightly.

Well, we got home today to find a box on the front porch! Kit arrived safe and sound.
Well, then it started.
Aislyn insists that the mailman went to the American Girl doll hospital to get kit and bring her back. INSISTS! she wants to thank him the next time she sees him. I tried to explain the process - the box is routed through different post offices, lots of mail workers involved, etc. Planes or trucks take the mail from one area to another.
she agrees that is how MAIL gets around. But kit was in a PACKAGE. Packages are differnt.
she says it was just him. he did it all by himself. she tells me that he goes all over and only sleeps at bedtime. Stubborn little girl.

Is it a bad time to tell her that Kit arrived via UPS? lol.
